Q&A
that you access over the internet. Is it secure? Yes! It's
probably more secure than the individual computers that
most small businesses run. Our data centres qualify
for military-grade security, and not many businesses run
military-grade security around the applications they have
on their laptops or on their desktop computers!
As the data and application sit on the cloud, there
are many benefits: clients can access their information
from any computer at any time; they can invite other
people, such as their accountant, to work on their
files; and they can avail themselves of time-saving
services such as having daily bank transactions feed
directly from the banks into their cloud-based
accounting applications.

Q What are the goalsdo you hopeas
a business? What
to
achieve in the next five years?
A
MYOB is very focused on meeting the
needs of small and medium businesses
and making their lives easier, so for the
next five years we'll be primarily launching
a whole series of cloud-based applications
that we think will make it easier and less
time-consuming to run a business and will
offer better insight into the business. There
will be more online accounting and online
payroll and we'll also look at improving our
website products, launching e-commerce
products and integrating them all in a way
that is simple for anyone to just sign up
and start using.

A
I certainly hope I'll be doing exactly

Australia's great businesses.
