Rex presents
On 25 October 2012, Rex officially
presented the proceeds raised at its
Open Day to the charities Can Assist and
Country Hope. The combined total raised
was just under $8,000.
Rex GM Network Strategy and Sales
Warrick Lodge presented the cheques
to representatives Marie Papworth from
Can Assist and Chris Blake from Country
Hope. Both organisations were over
the moon to receive the donations and
passed on their sincere gratitude to Rex
during the presentation. Both charities
provide essential support for rural
families touched by cancer and other
life-threatening illnesses.
Rex Ambassador Kay Hull is also the
President of Can Assist, an organisation
that provides valuable support to countrybased cancer patients and their families,
which includes assistance with travel and
accommodation support when needed.
Rex is a long-term supporter of
Country Hope Riverina, an organisation
that provides family support to country
children diagnosed with cancer and
other life-threatening illnesses. Rex
Wagga Wagga Administration Officer
Kylie Malaquin is a passionate Country
Hope volunteer.
In addition to the funds raised at
Open Day, all profits from the sale of
Rex's 10th anniversary commemorative
coffee table book, The Rex Story – The
First 10 Years, go towards supporting
Can Assist and Country Hope.
