THE DOLPHINS OF MONKEY MIA While at World Heritage-listed Shark Bay, you'll enjoy a wonderful opportunity to meet the famous wild bottlenose dolphins that come close to the shore to feed and interact with onlookers. 10 Witness prehistoric Wave Rock rising 14 metres high WAVE ROCK NEAR HYDEN Near the quaint outback town of Hyden lies Wave Rock, a mesmerising natural wonder that rises 14 metres high and stretches 110 metres long. This spectacular rock formation creates a giant surf wave of multicoloured granite about to crash onto the bush below. A prehistoric treasure, crystals found within the rock are estimated to be over 2,700 million years old. STROMATOLITES AT HAMELIN POOL At Hamelin Pool Marine Nature Reserve, you'll get a close-up look at the strange dome shaped stromatolites. Found living in only two places on the planet, these hard algae colonies are thought to be some of the world's oldest living organisms. CRUISE KATHERINE GORGE Cruise through majestic Katherine Gorge, admiring the display of colours on the gorge walls as you soak up some of the country's most spectacular scenery.
