Arrive Perth. On arrival in Perth today, be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, a tour of Perth includes a visit to beautiful Kings Park, perched on Mt Eliza. Absorb the city views before returning to town for a Welcome Dinner. Stay: Mercure Perth. D Day 2. Perth, Nambung National Park, The Pinnacles, Geraldton. Early this morning, 16 Day (TWN16) guests join the tour. Travel to Nambung National Park to see the limestone pillars of the Pinnacles. Continue to Geraldton, overlooking the Indian Ocean. Stay: Ibis Styles Geraldton. Day 3. Geraldton, Shark Bay. Set out for World Heritage-listed Shark Bay. Visit the township of Denham, the most westerly town on the Australian mainland, then continue to Monkey Mia. Like a Local – unwind during a special sunset cruise on Shark Bay. Start today with a short stroll down to the shallows of Dolphin Beach to partake in the daily dolphin feeding experience (subject to appearance). Afterwards, head off to admire the billions of tiny non-fossilised shells that form Shell Beach. We then view the ancient stromatolites found at Hamelin Pool, before continuing to Carnarvon. Continue to Vlamingh Head, with its famous kerosene burning lighthouse, for stunning views of Western Australia's coastline and the North West Cape. Later, head to Exmouth. Travelling inland, you'll pass through the striking ancient outback landscapes of the Pilbara on the journey to the remote mining town of Tom Price, nestled deep in the Hamersley Range. Here, enjoy a tour of the Tom Price Mine before dinner. Stay: Tom Price Hotel. BD Day 7. Karijini National Park, Karratha. Today, we explore the dramatic landscapes of Karijini National Park, where gorges, waterfalls and rock pools provide a refreshing contrast to the red Pilbara terrain. Visit Dale and Fortescue falls and take in the views from Oxers Lookout, before continuing to the township of Karratha. Stay: Ibis Styles Karratha. BD BLD BD Day 8. Karratha, Port Hedland. After a town tour of Karratha, journey over the fiery red landscapes of the Pilbara. Visit Roebourne and the small ghost town of Cossack before arriving in Port Hedland.
