Pacific Pearl's spring makeover
After a short two-week dry dock at Sydney's Garden Island in August, Pacific Pearl has emerged with some new furnishings and exciting features. As part of the multi-million-dollar makeover, 10 pairs of connecting cabins have been fitted, which is exciting news for families and groups of friends planning their next cruising holiday.
The cabin configurations are quad-quad, twin-quad or twin-twin bedding, so no matter the dynamics of the group you're travelling in, there is a connecting cabin to suit. These new cabins are expected to be very popular, particularly over the coming holiday season.
What else is new?
Ice cream parlour Pacific Pearl now boasts a New Zealand Natural parlour. Don't miss the new Choc Hokey Pokey ice cream, P&O Cruises' own flavour!
Minor refurbishments Updates have been made to the Marquee Theatre, MIX Cocktail Bar and The Orient.
Balcony cabins All balcony cabins received new carpet and wall coverings, as well as curtains, artwork, bed linen and newly-upholstered chairs.

Celebrate Australia Day with P&O Cruises
Some of you may be excited to hear we're offering front row seats in Sydney Harbour on Australia Day, onboard Pacific Pearl.
Departing on 25 January 2013, this patriotic three-day cruise will sail out through Sydney Heads before returning to anchor at Athol Buoy, near Mosman, for the Australia Day celebrations on 26 January.
Passengers will wake to panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and a day of thrilling festivities, before the ship sails to Darling Harbour for the evening fireworks.
Ann Sherry, CEO of Carnival Australia, said a P&OMainEvent cruise celebrating Australia Day was fitting considering P&O Cruises' proud 80-year history with Australia.
