NewAdventures for TC and Skipper Turtle Cove and Shark Shack's beloved mascots, TC and Skipper are set to star in a new onboard show that will entertain the whole family. TC and Skipper's Island Adventure sees the duo embark on a thrilling trip to the moon and back, with a few time travel adventures along the way. A giant LED screen*, exciting dance routines, new costumes and special effects are sure to keep the kids fascinated! The music is written by Early Childhood Music Composer Rhonda Davidson-Irwin and is combined with a mix of traditional favourites. "We wanted to take the show to a whole new level," says Vice President of Hotel Operations Sture Myrmell. Island Adventure will premiere on all P&O Cruises ships this year. *Available on Pacific Dawn and Pacific Pearl only. Meet the Crew For Pacific Dawn's Youth Activity Manager, Noralyn R. Rosal, being able to give all our younger passengers an awesome holiday experience makes her job the best onboard. What does your job involve? I present the Entertainment Department's events and activities program and have an overall responsibility for the delivery of the Youth and Teens Programs onboard. What is the best thing about your role? My work is one of the best jobs onboard—making every child and their parents happy. We have a fun and responsible job that passengers appreciate every day. What we offer parents and children is a magical experience where both can enjoy a holiday knowing we have their best interests at heart. What previous experience have you had working with children? I was a preschool to high school teacher back home in the Philippines. How do you and your team keep the children entertained for the duration of the cruise? Aside from electronic games and gadgets that the kids can play with in the centre, we also provide a variety of activities like arts and crafts, T-shirt painting, earring-making, face-painting, food parties, indoor and outdoor games and competitions, theme night discos, dance classes, kids' shows and workshops. How do you cater to different interests and personalities among the children? We have four centres onboard that cater to different age groups. On the first day of the cruise, we provide 'house rules' that everyone should abide by. By doing this we prevent conflicts among our junior cruisers. What advice would you give to a parent who is hesitant about using the kids' clubs? Not to worry about dropping their kids at the centre because their children are in good hands. My caring, professional team have the children's and parents' needs always at heart. What would you say to a child who is hesitant to get involved with the kids' clubs? To give it a try. If they still don't feel comfortable enough, their parents can be issued a pager, which is the best way to get them straight back to the centre if they need to pick their child up. 15 Mount Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 PO Box 2006, North Sydney NSW 2059 Australia: Call 13 24 94 Fax (02) 8424 9161 New Zealand: Call 0800 780 716 Fax 0800 951 201 Email: information@pocruises.com.au Carnival plc trading as P&O Cruises.
