Darwin, Litchfield National Park, Katherine, Welcome Dinner. This morning, depart Darwin and travel into beautiful Litchfield National Park. Visit Florence and Wangi Falls, then marvel at the Magnetic Termite Mounds. Our journey goes via the Adelaide River War Cemetery and on to Katherine, where you'll enjoy a delicious Welcome Dinner this evening. Stay: all seasons Katherine. Day 2. Dawn Break Sunrise Cruise, Kununurra, Ord River. Journey into beautiful Nitmiluk National Park and join a Dawn Break Sunrise Cruise through spectacular Katherine Gorge, with a local guide. Cross the WA border into Kununurra, home to the Ord River Scheme. Two night stay: Kununurra, Country Club Resort. Day 5. The Bungle Bungle Range, Piccaninny Creek, Cathedral Gorge, Sunset Drinks. This morning perhaps enjoy a helicopter flight over the national park (own expense). Hike among the famous Bungle Bungle domes along the ancient river bed of Piccaninny Creek and into Cathedral Gorge. Enjoy sunset drinks overlooking the breathtaking Bungle Bungle Range. D BLD BLD Day 3. Kununurra, Lake Argyle, Ord River Cruise. This morning, see the immense inland sea of Lake Argyle. Absorb the tranquillity of these pristine waters on a wildlife cruise down the Ord River. Look out for rock wallabies, crocodiles and a vast array of birdlife and fish that inhabit this spectacular lake and its rugged surrounds. Day 4. Kununurra, Purnululu National Park, Spring Creek Track, Echidna Chasm. Travel to World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park, home to the famous Bungle Bungle Range. Travel the Spring Creek Track and walk into the impressive Echidna Chasm, a spectacular cleft in the rock massif that narrows to one metre while shooting skywards up to 200 metres. Two Night Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Stay in tented cabins with ensuites at Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge in Purnululu National Park. Day 6. Purnululu National Park, El Questro. Travel to El Questro Wilderness Park, a million acre property, home to four major river systems which attract an abundance of animals, fish and bird life. Stay two nights at Emma Gorge Resort nestled beneath the rocky outcrop of the Cockburn Ranges. Two Night Stay: Emma Gorge Resort, at El Questro Wilderness Park in tented cabins with private facilities. BLD BD Day 7. Zebedee Springs, Chamberlain Gorge Cruise, Emma Gorge. Discover the wonders of the magnificent Kimberley region at El Questro today. Walk to the beautiful thermal pools of Zebedee Springs then, with a local ranger, cruise Chamberlain Gorge. Later, enjoy a challenging hike into Emma Gorge, and indulge in a swim under the droplet waterfall.
