This morning, perhaps enjoy an optional helicopter flight (own expense) before journeying to Piccaninny Creek and Cathedral Gorge where you'll witness the stunning beehive domes of the Bungle Bungle Range up close. Narrow along most of its length, Cathedral Gorge takes it name from a widening at the foot of the cliffs, which forms a huge cathedral like cave and amphitheatre. Walk among the stunning domes as your guide brings the natural history of the range to life. Learn about bush tucker, bush medicine and the area's significance to local Aboriginals. Enjoy a drink as the sun sets over the Bungle Bungle Range. Day 7. Kununurra, Ord River Scheme. Travel to Kununurra, the gateway to the eastern Kimberley. Here, we'll learn about the Ord River Scheme, one of Australia's great engineering feats. This massive reservoir harnesses the heavy rainfall during the wet season, ensuring a year-round water supply, as well as a source of electricity production. Two Night Stay: Kununurra, Country Club Resort. Day 8. Lake Argyle, Ord River Cruise. Enjoy time at leisure this morning to relax or explore the local township of Kununurra.
