— M a l d i v e s — – 120 – www.paradises.com M I R I H I I S L A N D R E S O R T The recently renovated Mirihi Island Resort, nestled on an island in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, invites you to enjoy the feeling of the sand between your toes as you explore the palm fringed beaches. Considered one of the smallest islands in the Maldives, Mirihi Island is located in the South Ari Atoll and is reached by a 25-minute scenic seaplane f light from Malé. The resort boasts 37 recently renovated villas that are dotted over the island to ensure complete privacy. All villas have direct access to either the beach or the lagoon. Polished wooden f loors create a cool, tropical ambience and tasteful furnishings have been used throughout. The sitting area has a sound system while other features include air- conditioning, free Wi-Fi and safe with a wine fridge and humidor available on request. Each of the six Beach Villas covers 53 square metres and offers an oversized open-air bathroom as well as an outdoor freshwater shower on the way to the beach. The 30 Water Villas enjoy a spacious and luxurious en suite bathroom that gazes over the ocean through large sliding glass doors. A recent addition, the luxurious two-bedroom Overwater Suite covers a huge 160 square metres and has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a spacious living room. Sumptuous dining Dazzling sunset views from Muraka Restaurant create the perfect environment for a romantic dinner. Prepare to be spoiled as you dine from a menu of contemporary cuisine from Maldivian lobster to Wagyu beef with an award-winning wine list for the perfect beverage to accompany your dish. The Dhonveli Restaurant has a traditional sand f loor and offers beautiful ocean views from its spacious deck. Daily buffets, serving three meals a day, with a sumptuous array of dishes, from local seafood to international dishes, will surprise and delight. Private dining at one of the many secluded venues on the island is another option for a tailor-made experience. Anba Bar is the perfect place to meet friends and relax with a delicious cocktail or light snack. Rum lovers will be amazed by the bar's offering of the largest and most comprehensive collection of fine rum in the Maldives. Occasionally the bar also offers live music and other special events. Ruhgandu Wine Bar is the resort's small, unique wine bar that showcases over 300 wines and Champagnes that have been carefully selected from around the world. Six guests can dine at the communal wooden table and occasionally wine tastings and culinary wine dinners are offered.
