Be transferred by business class on a catamaran to Heraklion in Crete, where you will then transfer to your hotel in Chania, which offers panoramic views of the endless golden beach of Platanias. This evening, enjoy dinner at your hotel. Three Night Stay: Chania, Minoan Palace Resort & Spa. BD Day 8. Chania, Rethymno. Head to Rethymno, where you will visit the traditional Agrecofarm, with its stone outhouses and acres of organic gardens. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch prepared with organic produce sourced on the farm. The rest of the day is yours at leisure. Tonight, you will have the opportunity to meet with a local war expert, where you will gain an insight into the Battle of Crete, in preparation for tomorrow's sightseeing. BL Day 9. Chania. Retrace parts of the Battle of Crete today and learn about the soldiers who fought valiantly against the forces of the Axis. See the famous Hill 107, the Tavronitis Bridge and the areas where battles were fought. Enjoy the afternoon as you please. B Day 10. Chania, Heraklion, Elounda. From the west coast of Chania, travel east to the port town of Elounda. On the way, visit the Knossos and the Palace of the Minoans. Afterwards, visit the Archaeological Museum in Heraklion, before arriving in Elounda. Three Night Stay: Elounda Bay Palace, staying in a Sea View Room. B Day 11. Elounda, Sitia, Vai. Enjoy a day of exploration, commencing with the town of Sitia, a small seaside town with a wide promenade and a relaxed low-key feel. Continue to Vai on the east coast, which has the largest palm tree forest in Europe. Afterwards, visit the monastery of Toplou. Built in the 15th century, its location and setting is one-of-a-kind. Return to your hotel with free time in the afternoon. B Day 12. Elounda, Spinalonga. Embark on a guided tour of one of the most amazing island fortresses, Spinalonga. Originally built as a fortress in 1579, the island was later used as a quarantine for sufferers of Hansen's disease. The afternoon is yours at leisure to either relax in the sublime surrounds of your resort, or perhaps enjoy a leisurely stroll into the village centre of Elounda and soak up the traditional Cretan atmosphere. This evening, say goodbye to new-found friends at a Farewell Dinner. BD Day 13. Depart Elounda. Be transferred to the airport.
