Arrive in Barcelona, where you will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel, nestled perfectly between the ancient walls and Gothic district. Tonight, get to know your fellow travellers during a Welcome Dinner. Stay: Murimuri Barcelona. D Day 2. Barcelona, Girona. Your sightseeing begins with a fascinating guided city tour, taking in many famous sights as well as a number of the incredible structures collectively World Heritage-listed under 'works of Antoni Gaudí'. This afternoon, travel to Girona, where later, a local naturalist will offer insight into the Cap de Creus. Three Night Stay: Girona, Sallés Hotel & Spa Mas Tapiolas. BD Day 3. Girona, Empúries, Palamós. Discover ancient Greek and Roman civilisation with a visit to the Ruins of Empúries. Continue to the medieval villages of Pals and Peratallada for a tour. Afterwards, head to the most easterly point of mainland Spain with a visit to Cap de Creus, a great source of inspiration for Dalí. Wind along through sheer rugged beauty as you traverse the steep rocky coastline. Capture breathtaking vistas from the lighthouse, as you sit back, relax and enjoy refreshments while you gaze out to the beautiful vista. Afterwards, return to Girona for the evening at leisure. B Day 5. Girona, Cardona. Depart this morning for Cardona. Along the way, stop in the town of Vic to see its Main Square. Upon arrival into Cardona, visit the former salt mines of the Mina Nieves, where you will learn about the cultural and ecological importance of salt that has been exploited since Neolithic times. Later, arrive at your hotel, which happens to be a medieval castle with tower and Romanesque church. Stay: Parador de Cardona.
