Travel to the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, a vast archaeological site in southern Italy's Campania region. Once a thriving Roman city, Pompeii was buried in meters of ash and pumice after the catastrophic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 C.E. Afterwards, continue to Sorrento, a coastal town facing the Bay of Naples on the Sorrentine Peninsula. This evening, visit a mozzarella farm for a guided tour and a delicious dinner.
