FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS | 109 What time is check-in and check-out? Hotel check-in is usually 3pm. Where possible, the hotel will try to have your room available earlier. If your flight however arrives in the morning, luggage can be dropped off at the hotel before check-in and delivered to your room later. If you have a late afternoon or evening flight, most hotels have room where you can store your luggage until you depart for the airport. Will I have Wi-Fi internet access? At all hotels, wireless internet (Wi-Fi) is available; however, you will need to bring your own laptop or tablet to gain access. Access may only be available in public areas. Wi-Fi is not avaliable on our coaches. What about luggage restrictions? As a general rule, most airlines permit passengers in economy class to take one piece of luggage that does not exceed 160cm (63 inches), or weigh more than 30kg (66 pounds). We advise you to contact your airline carrier or travel agent for specific information prior to departure, as size and weight limitations may vary. On tour, each passenger is entitled to carry one piece of luggage that does not exceed the above specifications. Please limit your hand luggage to one bag that fits under your aircraft seat or in the overhead compartment. You will receive an APT travel bag with your documentation, which we recommend you use. Do you have audio headsets? Each guest will have an audio headset. During excursions, these lightweight headsets allow you to hear every word of your local guide's commentary. What about included meals? A full buffet breakfast is included each day, as selected lunches and dinners are indicated on itinerary pages. Complimentary water, tea and coffee are offered during included meals. Complimentary alcoholic beverages will also be included with select dinners. If you have a food allergy, please advise APT or your travel agent as soon as possible, as well as your Tour Director upon arrival, as most suppliers require advance notice to accommodate this. What is the Deposit Cancellation Peace of Mind? When you pay an upfront fee of $75 per person with your deposit, your holiday package can be cancelled prior to the final payment date and your deposit will be retained as an APT holding credit to be used for future bookings. If Deposit Cancellation Peace of Mind is claimed, monies held must be used on a future cruise or tour and cannot be redeemed against the original cruise or tour departure date. Deposit held in credit will exclude fees imposed by third parties, including but not limited to air travel, rail travel on board the Golden Eagle and hotels. When booking airfares through APT (including when taking advantage of a special offer that includes air travel), standard airline cancellation fees will apply. In some cases, airfares will be non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, these fees will be deducted from the deposit paid, and therefore the credit being held. APT Deposit Cancellation Peace of Mind applies to new bookings only and is valid up until 100 days prior to travel. After three years, unused credit funds will incur the original cancellation conditions as per brochure. This does not replace travel insurance, which we strongly recommend purchasing at the time of booking.
