D Day 2. Portland. Enjoy a guided tour of the World Heritage- listed Jurassic Coastline, one of the most important and prolific fossil sites. Continue by coach towards Lyme Regis and stop for lunch at a restaurant overlooking the coast. Dock in Saint Malo and journey to the island of Mont Saint-Michel for a walk up the steep path to the abbey. Continue to Cancale and visit an oyster farm for a tasting. Alternatively, discover Saint Malo's colourful history on a tour of the old city, including a tasting of local cider and biscuits. BLD Day 4. Douarnenez, Quimper, Locronan. At Quimper, discover a long tradition of pottery making and visit the 13th-century Cathedral of Saint Corentin. Continue to the medieval village of Locronan. BLD Day 5. Belle Ile. Visit the well-conserved Vauban Citadel and explore its various quarters. Hear about the intriguing history of pirates and armies who invaded the island. Enjoy wonderful views over Le Palais port and little town, the coastline and far away islands and free time in the town. BLD Day 6. Bordeaux. Travel to World Heritage-listed Bordeaux and enjoy a splendid panoramic tour, followed by a guided walk through Old Bordeaux, including the Place de la Bourse and the Gothic Saint Andrew's Cathedral. Enjoy an evening stroll as your ship docks overnight in port at Bordeaux to get to know this intoxicating city. BLD Day 7. Bordeaux, Saint Emilion. Drive to the Saint Emilion region through Entre-Deux-Mers and Pomerol vineyards where Merlot grape dominates. Visit a wine chateau for a tasting and learn the techniques of wine making. See the magnificent Saint-Emilion village with free time to explore the town with buildings from the 8th to 12th century. You will also see the Cadene Gate and the King's Tower. Return to your ship for dinner.
