59 France Château de Chenonceaux Château de Chaumont Blois Rambouillet Paris Château de Villandry Versailles Giverny 3 4 England London Coach Rail Stay (No. of nights) Day 1. Depart London to Blois Board the Eurostar at London's St Pancras and travel to Paris. Continue by high-speed TGV service to the city of Blois, situated on the banks of the River Loire. Four Nights: Mercure Blois or similar. D Day 2. Chaumont-sur-Loire International Garden Festival Today, enjoy an excursion to the International Garden Festival. The festival is one of the world's leading events in terms of spotting new trends and landscape designs, and boasts over 30 themed gardens. You have the luxury of a Domaine ticket, which grants you entry to the entire of Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire. B Day 3. Château de Villandry This morning, enjoy an excursion to the magnificent Château de Villandry, celebrated for its beautiful, Renaissance style gardens that include a variety of water gardens, ornamental flower beds and vegetable patches, all set within a puzzle pattern of low-box hedges. B Day 4. Château de Chenonceau Today begins with an excursion to Château de Chenonceau, arguably the most iconic chateau in the Loire Valley. After exploring the Château and its picturesque fountain gardens, travel by coach to the town of Amboise, most famous for Clos Lucé, the final home of Leonardo da Vinci, who died here in 1519. We visit his former manor house which still contains a number of his inventions. Before returning to the hotel, enjoy an authentic wine tasting experience. BD Day 5. Blois & Rambouillet The morning is free for you to continue exploring the riverside city of Blois. The 18th century bridge that spans the Loire is a prime example of Renaissance architecture. This afternoon, a coach will take you north to the town of Rambouillet. Three Nights: Mercure Rambouillet. B Day 6. The Gardens of Monet Today we travel by coach to nearby Giverny to visit the former home of Impressionist founder and painter Claude Monet. We explore Monet's picturesque gardens, so often the subject of his Impressionist painting. We enjoy a guided tour of the iconic artist's former abode, now a museum. The tour includes the old barn that once doubled up as a painting studio, where many famous works were produced. B Day 7. Versailles Palace Today we visit the grand Versailles Palace, the opulent former seat of the Royal family until the French Revolution. The Palace gardens are equally as impressive. You can also see the historically important Hall of Mirrors, where the Treaty of Versailles was signed. BD Day 8. Arrive London This morning, board a coach in Rambouillet and make the short trip to Paris. Here, continue by Eurostar service to London St Pancras, where you arrive in England's capital, and your tour concludes.
