Östersund Bid farewell to Stockholm and head inland by InterCity train to Östersund, which is nestled on the shore of beautiful Lake Storsjön, Sweden's fifth largest lake. Inlandsbanan, Arctic Circle, Lapland, Jokkmokk Leaving Östersund, you'll travel north through some of Sweden's most glorious scenery and venture into the wilderness of Lapland. Your journey on the Inlandsbanan train takes you across the Arctic Circle into the Land of the Midnight Sun. Lapland is home to the Sami, the only indigenous people of Scandinavia who are renowned for their reindeer herding skills. Ofoten Railway, Narvik Today, enjoy a journey on one of the world's most northerly railway lines, the Ofoten Railway.
