Istanbul, Gallipoli Peninsula, Çanakkale Tens of thousands visit the Gallipoli Peninsula each year to honour the fallen soldiers of the battles fought in World War I. Visit the national park for a special tour of the war memorials. Pay your respects at both the Australian and New Zealand memorial sites, Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair, as well as at Anzac Cove.
