52 Day 1. Arrive Victoria Upon arrival in Victoria, be met at the airport and then transferred to your hotel. Later today, meet your fellow travellers and Tour Director at a Welcome Reception. Two Nights: Victoria, The Parkside Hotel & Spa. Day 2. Victoria This morning, enjoy a short orientation tour. Then visit The Butchart Gardens. This is one of the most famous gardens in the world with a distinctive style all of its own. Spend time wandering through the lovely Sunken Garden and relax in the beautiful setting of the Japanese Garden and Italian Garden. Explore the plants on show, as well as floral displays. Perhaps take a whale-watching cruise or a horse-drawn carriage tour (see page 94). B Day 3. Victoria, Whistler Drive to the town of Chemainus before boarding a ferry across the Georgia Strait to Horseshoe Bay. Admire the Coastal Mountains as you travel along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway with a stop at Shannon Falls on your way to Whistler. Enjoy an indigenous- inspired dinner at the Lil'wat Squamish Cultural Centre, and gain insight into the heritage of the local First Nations. You may like to take an enthralling floatplane flight across Georgia Strait to Whistler (see page 96). Two Nights: Whistler, Aava Whistler Hotel. BD Day 4. Whistler The day is yours at leisure to explore Whistler however you wish. Perhaps enjoy one of the select experiences available to you (see pages 95). B Day 5. Whistler, Blue River After breakfast this morning, travel through the rugged Cariboo region to Blue River. Enjoy an overnight escape at Mike Wiegele Heli Village, which offers adventure and serenity in a picturesque setting. Relax with your travelling companions during a laid-back waterfront dinner this evening. Stay: Blue River, Mike Wiegele Heli Village. BD Day 6. Blue River, Jasper Set off on an extraordinary River Safari to stunning Grizzly Bear Valley where you're likely to witness active native wildlife on the riverbank. Later today, follow the famous Yellowhead Highway and pass the incredible Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, on your way to the Jasper National Park. Mingle with your fellow guests and take in the beautiful surrounds during a delicious western-style authentic BBQ dinner at the Jasper Stables this evening. Two Nights: Jasper, Mountain Park Lodges. BD Day 7. Jasper Take time out today to relax or explore Jasper however you wish. There are a number of select experiences available to you. Perhaps embark on an incredible Harley Davidson Sidecar Tour; set off on a thrilling rafting adventure on the Athabasca River or enjoy a memorable evening wildlife experience (see page 95).
