38 Day 1. Arrive Vancouver Your journey begins today upon your arrival in the exciting city of Vancouver. You'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the heart of this cosmopolitan metropolis. After settling into your perfectly positioned accommodation, you'll be able to meet your Tour Director and fellow guests during a Welcome Reception this evening. Two Nights: Vancouver, Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. Day 2. Vancouver Discover Vancouver on a sightseeing tour today. Take in the city's sleek high-rise-framed Waterfront, and you will also enjoy time to visit Vancouver's historic heart and oldest neighbourhood, Gastown. Today, it is an area that is a hub for cuisine, fashion, and stylish interior design boutiques This afternoon, you may wish to enjoy a select experience, like a picturesque Grouse Mountain gondola ride (see page 94). B Day 3. Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops Today you will board the Rocky Mountaineer and relax in your SilverLeaf carriage as you soak up the stunning scenery of the spectacular Coast Mountains, before entering beautiful Fraser Canyon. As you travel, enjoy dramatic views of the thundering waters of Hell's Gate, then follow the Thompson River before arriving in the town of Kamloops where you'll stay overnight. Stay: Kamloops, hotel assigned by Rocky Mountaineer. BL Day 4. Rocky Mountaineer, Jasper Reboard the Rocky Mountaineer train and continue on your spectacular journey. View the expansive landscapes during this full day onboard, before you arrive at Jasper late in the afternoon. Enjoy time at leisure this evening to explore the surrounds of this incredibly beautiful area. Stay: Jasper, Mountain Park Lodges. BL Day 5. Jasper, Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Banff Visit Maligne Canyon then travel the Icefields Parkway. Stop at the Columbia Icefield for an Ice Explorer ride onto the Athabasca Glacier before arriving in Banff. Two Nights: Banff Park Lodge. BD Day 6. Banff Enjoy today at leisure to explore the charming town of Banff. Perhaps embark on a thrilling helicopter adventure, a Bow River float trip or a Banff Experience Tour (see page 95). B Day 7. Banff, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake Embark on a memorable exploration of Banff and its surrounds. Take a ride on the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for lovely views across Banff National Park. Later, admire the azure waters of Moraine Lake (weather permitting), and also enjoy time to explore the area surrounding Lake Louise. It's then on to Emerald Lake, named for it's sparkling brilliant hue. Settle into the charming property, Emerald Lake Lodge. Enjoy time to appreciate this remarkable location as you relax or enjoy a walk to discover the surrounds. Stay: Emerald Lake Lodge. BD Day 8. Emerald Lake, Kamloops Journey back to Kamloops, along the way stopping to enjoy time to explore the surrounding area.
