60 Queensland's vast outback stretches out as far as the eye can see Day 1. Arrive Cairns. Your journey begins today as you are met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, get to know your fellow guests during a Welcome Dinner. Stay: Cairns, Shangri-La Hotel, The Marina. D Day 2. Cairns, Herberton Historic Town, Millstream Falls. Travel from Cairns to Ravenshoe, located 920 metres above sea level at the top of the Atherton Tablelands. Enjoy lunch at Woodleigh Station, which is located within the surrounds of the quintessential Australian bush. Later, journey to the tiered plunged waterfall, Millstream Falls before arriving at Undara. Stay: Undara, Lava Lodge. BLD Day 3. Undara Lava Tubes, Cobbold Gorge. Today, discover the fascinating 190,000-year-old Undara Lava Tubes, a series of underground tunnels formed during a volcanic eruption in the region. Join a Savannah guide for an informative tour. Enjoy a sit-down lunch at Undara before continuing to Cobbold Gorge. Two Night Stay: Cobbold Gorge Hotel. BLD Day 4. Cobbold Gorge. Discover Cobbold Gorge, hidden away within a spectacularly rugged sandstone formation. The gorge is extremely narrow, closing to a mere two metres wide in places, with remarkable 30-metre cliffs on either side. This afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise and tour through these narrow waterways as a guide points out the geological features of this incredible natural wonder. Remember to keep your eyes peeled for the freshwater crocodiles that call the gorge home. BLD Day 5. Cobbold Gorge, Croydon, Gulflander Train, Karumba. This morning, journey to the historic goldrush town of Croydon for a self-guided walking tour. After, ride the historic Gulflander Train from 'nowhere to nowhere'. Continue to Karumba and end your day with a magical sunset cruise. Relax with a cold drink and enjoy a selection of local produce as you watch a breathtaking sunset over the Gulf of Carpentaria.
