88 Journey along the lush banks of Gatun Lake aboard the Panama Canal Railway Day 12. Callao, Lima. Behold, your final port of call, Callao. You could stay here and spend the day at leisure or take a trip to Lima, which includes a tour of the World Heritage-listed Historic Centre of Lima and the 17th-century San Francisco Monastery, with its gilded alter and eerie catacombs (own expense). BLD Day 13. Callao, Disembark Ship, Lima. Disembark your ship for the final time and be transferred to your hotel in Lima. Three Night Stay: JW Marriott Hotel Lima, Ocean View Rooms. B Day 14. Lima. After a guided tour of Lima, visit a private hacienda where you'll enjoy lunch, live music and a graceful Peruvian Paso horse show. BL Day 15. Lima. Enjoy a full day at leisure. B Day 16. Lima, Cusco, Chincheros, Sacred Valley. Fly to Cusco. On arrival, travel to Chincheros and witness a traditional weaving demonstration. Three Night Stay: Sacred Valley, Tambo del Inka, Luxury Collection by Starwood. B Day 17. Sacred Valley, Freedom of Choice. After a morning at leisure, perhaps visit the Sacred Valley Brewing Company to taste a range of micro brews. Alternatively, tour the workshops at a ceramic studio. BD Day 18. Sacred Valley, Maras, Moray. Witness the sight of the Maras salt mines, where thousands of salt pools spill over the side of a steep terraced slope. After, enjoy lunch at El Parador de Moray, with views over the Moray archaeological site. BL Day 19. Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu. Board PeruRail's Vistadome train and travel to Machu Picchu. On arrival, set off on a guided tour of the iconic Lost City of the Incas. Stay: Machu Picchu, Sumaq Hotel. BD Day 20. Machu Picchu, Cusco. You will have the chance to beat the morning rush and return to experience Machu Picchu in its true serenity at your own pace. Later, board PeruRail's Vistadome train for your return trip to the Sacred Valley, then transfer by coach to Cusco. Two Night Stay: Cusco, JW Marriott Hotel. BD Day 21. Cusco, Freedom of Choice. A walking tour will take you to the square in the city's historic heart, as well as the sacred sites of Koricancha and Cusco Cathedral. Then, choose from three restaurants for lunch. BL Day 22. Cusco, Puno. 22 Day (ISPO22) guests depart the tour. Remaining guests board the Andean Explorer for a day-long rail journey into the highlands and on to Puno. On the way, enjoy access to the lounge car and the open-air observation bar car, and be treated to a three-course lunch. Arrive in Puno and settle in to your hotel. Two Night Stay: Puno, The Libertador Lake Titicaca, Lake View Rooms. BL Day 23. Puno, Lake Titicaca. Travel by speedboat to the village of Luquina to visit a unique school project. Spend the morning in Sibayo, a little local village tucked away in the mountains. This friendly community will let you participate in a choice of their daily activities. Visit their alpaca and llama farm; learn about the region's ancient weaving techniques; or try your hand at fly fishing with local fisherman. BL Day 26. Colca Canyon, Arequipa. Visit the Mirador Cruz del Condor viewpoint in the heart of the Colca Canyon and look for the legendary Andean condor rising and circling on the morning thermals. Afterwards, stop for lunch en route to Arequipa. Two Night Stay: Arequipa, Casa Andina Private Collection. BL Day 27. Arequipa. After a guided tour through the city, you'll take part in a 'Bean to Bar' chocolate workshop. Enjoy tastings of Peruvian chocolate and create your own flavours using a range of Andean grains.
