59 CUBA, MEXICO & PANAMA Day 10. Iguassu Falls. Spend some time exploring World Heritage-listed Iguassu National Park on the Argentinian side of the falls, including a ride the Rainforest Ecological Train through the forest. B Day 11. Iguassu Falls, Lima (Peru). Visit Parque das Aves Bird Park, set just outside the national park. Walk through the giant aviaries and see the iconic toucan. Tonight, fly to the country's capital, and the starting point of your Peruvian discovery, Lima. 18 Day (ISCU18) guests join the tour on arrival. Two Night Stay: JW Marriott Hotel Lima, Ocean View Rooms. B Day 12. Lima. Embark on a city tour to discover the World Heritage-listed Historic Centre of Lima. Afterwards, a visit to a private hacienda will showcase regional traditions. Arrive to the upbeat rhythms of live music and dance, before enjoying lunch and an elegant Peruvian Paso horse show. BL Day 13. Lima, Cusco, Chincheros, Sacred Valley. Fly to the World Heritage-listed city of Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. On arrival, travel through the city by coach on the way to Chincheros, set high in the Andes. To the locals of the Andean highlands in Peru, weaving is an important way for preserving ancient traditions. During a traditional weaving demonstration, learn how the famously colourful materials of South America are created. Three Night Stay: Sacred Valley, Tambo del Inka, Luxury Collection by Starwood. B Day 14. Sacred Valley, Freedom of Choice. After the morning at leisure you may select from two activities that showcase the traditions and culture of the region. Perhaps pay a visit to the Sacred Valley Brewing Company and taste the range of local craft beers. Alternatively, tour the workshops at a local ceramics studio. BD Day 15. Sacred Valley, Maras, Moray. Witness the dazzling sight of the Maras salt mines, where thousands of salt pools spill over the side of a steep terraced slope. Continue to the Moray archaeological site, a collection of terraced fields which were likely used by the Incas for agricultural experiments. Here, enjoy views over the deep terraces during lunch at El Parador de Moray. BL Day 16. Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu. Board PeruRail's Vistadome train and admire the mountainous Andean landscape outside your large panoramic windows as you travel to Machu Picchu. On arrival, set off on a guided tour of the iconic Lost City of the Incas. Stay: Machu Picchu, Sumaq Hotel. BD Day 17. Machu Picchu, Cusco. You will have the chance to beat the morning rush and return to experience the site in its true serenity at your own pace. This afternoon, board PeruRail's Vistadome train for your return trip from Machu Picchu to the Sacred Valley, then transfer by coach to Cusco. Two Night Stay: Cusco, JW Marriott Hotel. BD Day 18. Cusco, Freedom of Choice. A walking tour of Cusco this morning will take you to the square in the city's historic heart, the Plaza de Armas, as well as the sacred sites of Koricancha and Cusco Cathedral. For lunch, head to Limo Cocina Peruana & Pisco Bar; enjoy Italian cuisine at Incanto; or dine from an eclectic menu at the renowned MAP Café. BL Day 19. Cusco, Lima. Fly back to Lima and be transferred to your hotel in Miraflores. This evening you can enjoy dinner on your own. Stay: JW Marriott Hotel Lima, Ocean View Rooms.
