General Information & Conditions Your booking contract is with Australian Pacific Touring Pty Ltd (trading as Travelmarvel). Your contract incorporates all of the following terms and conditions. You should read and understand your contract, and please ask Travelmarvel or your travel agent if you require any clarification. PRICES – DEPOSITS – DISCOUNTS – PAYMENTS Your booking price will be set out in this brochure unless it is varied by advertising or a special offer, or is increased after the publication date to cover changes in government taxes and charges, exchange rate variations, fuel surcharges or other material increases by suppliers. Once you pay your deposit your cruise price is guaranteed. A $1,000 security deposit per person, per cruise/tour is required within 7 days of booking confirmation. Final payment is due 100 days prior to departure unless stated in the terms of a special offer. Children under eight years of age are not accepted on Europe river cruises. Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Travelmarvel reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received by Travelmarvel within the specified time. All fares are in Australian currency. Credit card surcharges apply. IMPORTANT NOTICE – DISRUPTION TO CRUISING AND ITINERARY ARRANGEMENTS Itineraries are subject to alteration without notice and are intended as a guide only. Deviations to the planned cruise/ touring itineraries and hotels are possible due to road, river or weather conditions, strikes or other reasons beyond our control, although every effort will be made to keep them as they are shown in the brochure and final documents. Should conditions render cruise/land touring routes unsafe for navigation, Travelmarvel reserves the right to provide alternative services including, but not limited to, accommodation on the docked ship and/or substitute ground arrangements. Under normal river conditions, itineraries will operate as detailed within this brochure. However, sometimes for reasons beyond our control, it may be necessary to make alterations to your itinerary. For example, without limitation, if there is a water level problem on a river or canal, it may be necessary to operate part of the itinerary by coach and alternative sightseeing may be included. On occasion, significant flood or low water events do occur on the rivers that can cause disruption to itineraries and may lead to early disembarkation. We recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage of events such as these as we will not be liable for any direct or indirect costs that you incur as a result of such an event or other factor beyond our control happening. Additionally, you are not entitled to any refund for any alterations to your itinerary that are caused or contributed to by any flood or water level events or such other events which are beyond our control. Travelmarvel can give no guarantee as to exact arrival and departure times for carriers and operators used by Travelmarvel on the tour and Travelmarvel will not be liable for failure to make connections with any other services or attractions beyond its control. If accommodation listed becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute hotels with alternative accommodation of a similar standard. For a group to operate and to provide an enjoyable group atmosphere, a minimum number of participants is required. If a minimum number of passengers cannot be achieved on the escorted touring and cruising packages, it may be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer the nearest possible alternative or to offer a package as a non-escorted alternative. The decision to operate a tour is usually made four to eight weeks prior to departure. EARLYBIRD SPECIALS A limited number of Earlybird Specials are available on all itineraries. All offers are available until 30 September 2012 unless sold out prior. Limited staterooms/seats on set departures and subject to availability. Offers may be withdrawn at anytime. Only one Earlybird Special per person applies and cannot be combined with any other offer, unless specified. 1. Fly Free (March, all staterooms, all cruises) Fly Free including air taxes (up to the value of $800 per person) offer is available to a Classical Europe river cruise departing in March 2013. Flights are in economy class with Singapore Airlines or an airline of Travelmarvel's choice, and subject to availability of airline and booking class. Once class sold out surcharges apply. Flights must be booked by Travelmarvel. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 per person is due within seven days of booking; a second deposit of $2,000 per person is due by 30 Sept. 2012; and final payment is due 100 days prior to departure. Saving of up to $4,800 per couple, based on an airfare of $1,600 per person including $800 taxes when booking EUTC15. 2. Fly Free (May to September, 21 Days and longer) Fly Free including air taxes (up to the value of $800 per person) offer is available to a Classical Europe cruise & tours departing from May to August 2012 to clients who book a tour of 21 days or longer. Flights are in economy class with Singapore Airlines or an airline of Travelmarvel's choice, and subject to availability of airline and booking class. Once class sold out surcharges apply. Flights must be booked by Travelmarvel. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 per person is due within seven days of booking; a second deposit of $2,000 per person is due by 30 Sept. 2012; and final payment is due 100 days prior to departure. Saving of up to $4,800 per couple, based on an airfare of $1,600 per person including $800 taxes when booking EUTCPP21. 3. Fly Free – Just Pay Taxes Fly Free – Just Pay Taxes offer is available to clients who book a tour of 15 to 20 days in length, that includes a Classical Europe river cruise, between May and September 2013. Flights are in economy class with Singapore Airlines or an airline of Travelmarvel's choice, and subject to availability of airline and booking class. Once class sold out surcharges apply. Flights must be booked by Travelmarvel. Air Taxes at guests own expense. A non- refundable deposit of $1,000 is due within seven days of booking; a second deposit of $2,000 per person is due by 30 Sept. 2012, and final payment due 100 days prior to departure. Saving up to $3,200 per couple based on $1,600 airfare when booking EUTCPB18 in May. INCLUDED IN OUR CRUISE AND/OR TOUR PRICE All coach/cruise travel, port charges, airport transfers, gratuities, accommodation, sightseeing, meals, admissions and the services of a cruise director as stated in the itineraries. NOT INCLUDED IN OUR CRUISE AND/OR TOUR PRICE Airfares, airport taxes, laundry, passport and visa fees, food not on the regular table d'hôte menu, meals not included on the itinerary, drinks, excess baggage, fuel surcharges and optional excursions not specified in the itinerary. Extra accommodation is not included at the start or end of tour if not specified in the itinerary. AIRPORT TRANSFERS Airport transfers are included on the first and last day of the tour. These are only available on the first and last day of the tour package, at designated times. No refund will be given for unused transfers. Transfers cannot be re-routed to other pick-up points or destinations. Passengers who miss the pre-booked transfers must make their own way to/from the ship/hotel at – www.travelmarvel.com.au – own expense. For transfers to be booked, flight details must be advised to Travelmarvel at least 60 days prior to travel, otherwise transfers cannot be guaranteed. See itinerary pages for any variations to the above. GRATUITIES Are included for all cruise/land staff on all river cruises and land touring on Travelmarvel. Tipping cannot be redeemed for a cash refund. LATE BOOKINGS Payment in full is required at time of booking for reservations made less than 100 days before departure from Australia or New Zealand. If a reservation cannot be confirmed, all monies will be refunded. CANCELLATION POLICY For all tours featured within this brochure, the following applies: Days of Notice 100 days or more 99-61 days 60 days or less Fee Per Person Loss of deposit 50% of tour fare 100% of tour fare All cancellations must be received in writing by Travelmarvel and are not effective until this notification has been received. If tour or cruise has commenced, 100% of the full tour price is charged. There is no refund for unused services or if portions of the cruise and/or land arrangements are missed. Cancellation fees also apply to additional accommodation reserved prior to and after the tour. These cancellation fees are in addition to any fees that may be levied by your travel agent. TRAVELMARVEL DEPOSIT CANCELLATION COVER Travelmarvel Deposit Cancellation Cover conditions apply. Deposit held in credit will exclude fees imposed by third parties including but not limited to – airlines, rail, hotels and non- Travelmarvel cruise lines. When booking airfares through Travelmarvel (including when taking advantage of a special offer that includes air travel) airline cancellation fees will apply as standard, as Travelmarvel reserve the right to issue airline tickets at our discretion once a deposit has been paid. In the event of cancellation, these fees will be deducted from the deposit paid, and therefore the credit being held. Deposit Cancellation Cover applies to new bookings only. After 5 years, unused credit funds will incur the original cancellation conditions as per brochure. This does not replace travel insurance, which we strongly recommend is organised at the time of booking. AMENDMENT FEES A fee of $50 per person will apply to any additional changes requested to your original booking after it has been made and confirmed. To change your departure date, you are required to cancel your original booking and make a new booking. Applicable cancellation fees will apply. Once documents are issued, a fee of $70 per person is applicable for any changes. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE Travelmarvel does not employ medical staff on the ship. Should you require medical attention, local medical services can be contacted immediately. You are responsible for all charges that result from visiting a medical facility, or for a medical practitioner visiting you. Travelmarvel is not responsible for the type or quality of the medical services you may receive. AIRFARES All discounted airfares are subject to variation and flight and booking class availability. Conditions apply. Once tickets are issued, airfares are subject to cancellation and amendment fees. Surcharge may apply to variations of airline routings. Airport taxes vary for each departure point and routing of airline. Airline schedules are subject to change without notice.
