Kusadası, Pamukkale. Take a trip to the magical natural site of Pamukkale, where for thousands of years an underground spring has poured streams of hot, mineral-saturated water. As it has flowed down the mountainside, the water has hollowed large circular basins in the earth, and the rich mineral content has coated them in a smooth layer of white rock. Today enjoy time to bathe in these amazing hot springs. Two Night Stay: Pamukkale, Spa Hotel Colossae Thermal. Anatolia (today it refers specifically to the valleys of Göreme and Ürgüp). During dinner tonight, a range of entertainment includes belly dancing and a unique whirling dervishes ceremony. Two Night Stay: Cappadocia, Lykia Lodge Hotel. BD Day 9. Pamukkale, Hierapolis. Built near the natural hot springs, the city of Hierapolis attracted pilgrims, who came to bathe in the curative waters nearby. Today enjoy a visit to ancient Hierapolis, as well as time at leisure to bathe in the natural hot springs at Pamukkale. B Day 10. Pamukkale, Antalya, Freedom of Choice Inclusions. Today journey to Antalya, located on a cliff on the Mediterranean and boasting a lovely climate, coastal views, mountainous surrounds and Ottoman-era streets. Here, you may like to dine at a local restaurant offering Turkish cuisine. Or dine at the Terrace Restaurant in your hotel, enjoying views of the Gulf of Antalya. Two Night Stay: Divan Antalya Talya Hotel. BD Day 11. Perga, Aspendos. Today travel to the ancient ruins of Perga, set on the coastal plain. Stop to explore the ruins, including an acropolis dating back to the Bronze Age. Then head to Aspendos, an ancient Greco-Roman city thought to have one of the world's best-preserved theatres of antiquity. Later return to Antalya. B Day 12. Antalya, Cappadocia. Head inland to the city of Konya, home to one of the largest universities in Turkey. After a tour here, continue to the Cappadocia region. Cappadocia is the ancient name of a large region in the centre of Day 13. Göreme, Ürgüp. On a tour of Göreme and Ürgüp, see natural pinnacles and rock formations that are the result of volcanic activity centuries ago. Visit the Göreme Open Air Museum, with more than 30 rock-carved churches and chapels with frescoes, dating from the 9th to 11th centuries. Day 14. Cappadocia, Istanbul. Transfer to the airport for your included flight back to Istanbul. Tonight, head to the Chora Museum, an old Byzantine church that houses some of the world's most amazing frescos and mosaics. This evening, the museum will open its doors exclusively to APT guests. After your visit, dine on 15th and 16th-century Ottoman dishes at Asitane Restaurant, accompanied by a live performance of Ottoman music. Stay: Crowne Plaza Istanbul Old City. EMBARK CRUISE Day 17. Budapest, Embark Ship. After a morning at leisure, board your luxury river ship. 14 Night Stay: one of APT's luxurious Aria or Concerto River Ships. BD BD Day 18. Budapest. Tour Budapest then visit the Hungarian State Opera House for a tour and a private opera recital. Tonight, enjoy the Captain's Gala Welcome Dinner. BLD B Day 19. Vienna. After a tour of Vienna, enjoy a coffee and cake at Café Hofburg. This evening, enjoy a private concert at the palace, Albertina. Day 20. Vienna, Freedom of Choice Inclusions. Tour Schönbrunn Palace; visit the Fine Arts Museum and the Imperial Treasury; tour the Spanish Riding School and explore the Imperial Crypt; or take a trip to Bratislava. BLD Day 21. Dürnstein, Freedom of Choice Inclusions, Melk. Tour Dürnstein then cruise to Melk, or join a guided bicycle ride to Melk. Both groups then tour Melk Abbey. BLD BD FLY TO BUDAPEST Day 15. Istanbul, Budapest. This morning transfer to the airport in Istanbul, where 15 Day (EULT15) guests depart the tour. Remaining guests board an included flight to Budapest. On arrival, enjoy a special dinner tonight amid the arched cellars of the atmospheric Gerbeaud Pub. Two Night Stay: Budapest, Hotel Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge. Day 16. Budapest, Great Hungarian Plain. Today explore the Hungarian Puszta region, a vast flat plain. Visit a typical village, where you will be met by horse-herds. Enjoy a light lunch of goulash, the Hungarian national dish, before returning to Budapest. Day 22. Linz, Freedom of Choice Inclusions, Passau. From Linz, travel to Salzburg; visit Ceský Krumlov; or tour Linz then cruise to Passau. BLD Day 23. Regensburg, Freedom of Choice Inclusions. Today choose from a tour of Regensburg; or a bicycle tour to the hillside temple of Walhalla. BD BLD BLD Day 24. Nuremberg, Freedom of Choice Inclusions.
