A Legend is Born For the first time in our history, Australian and New Zealand forces were fighting under their own flag, rather than as part of the British Empire. Landing on Anzac Cove on April 25, 1915, the ANZACs felt a sense of nationalism. The Anzac spirit was born and survives to this day, both at home and on the Gallipoli Peninsula, where thousands of Australians and New Zealanders make a pilgrimage every year.
Gallipoli National Park On arrival at Gallipoli National Park, a guided tour will take in war memorials including 57th cemetery and Lone Pine. You'll then prepare for the evening ahead before heading back to Anzac Cove and settling in for a night under the stars in a secure outdoor area featuring live broadcasting from New Zealand and Australia. Your experienced guides will be with you throughout the evening.
Experience the poignancy and emotion of the Anzac Dawn Service
The Anzac Day Dawn Service At dawn, bear witness to the moving service in remembrance of the ANZACs who stood on the same ground 96 years ago. You may then like to walk to Lone Pine for the Australian service, and Chunuk Bair for the New Zealand service. We do advise that, due to the night outdoors and the walking involved, a basic level of fitness is required. Your Tour Director will be present at all times to ensure your comfort and safety.
