DAY 2: Half-Day Tour of Sugar Loaf Mountain A pick-up from your hotel drives past the world-famous beaches of Leblon, Ipanema, and Copacabana, as well as Flamengo Park and Botafogo Beach. Upon reaching Sugar Loaf Mountain, a cable car will take you to the top—2,000 feet above sea level—for 360 degree views of Rio. The plan for the remainder of the day, after being driven back to your hotel, is yours to decide. DAY 3: Half-Day Tour of Rio's Iconic Sights See the Christ the Redeemer statue in real life, and check one more World Wonder off your list. Then, travel by cog-wheel train through the Tijuca Forest to take in panoramic views of the city and surrounding countryside before being transported to your hotel to let the day sink in. DAY 4: Rio de Janeiro/Iguaçu Transfer to the airport for a flight to Iguaçu, where you'll first be taken to your hotel before beginning a two-hour walking tour of the Brazilian side of the spectacular Iguaçu Falls, a series of waterfalls so powerful it leaves a 100-foot vertical spray. A walk through the forest gives you a chance to see its furry, feathered, and rooted inhabitants before exiting via elevator and returning to the hotel. DAY 5: Half-Day Iguazú (Iguaçu) Tour Experience the falls from the Argentinian side, crossing the Tancredo Neves Bridge (Fraternity Bridge) and the Continental Divide. Here, you'll see Devil's Throat and even walk above the incredible cataract. After this adventure, the rest of the day is free. DAY 6: Iguaçu/Salvador del Bahía Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and unwind as you like. DAY 7: Half-Day Historical Tour of Salvador del Bahía Your tour starts in the modern suburb of Barra, where a car or motor coach will take you to the historical section of the city. Here, you'll see some of the finest preserved colonial architecture in the Americas, as well as the baroque church of São Francisco. A transfer takes you back to your hotel. DAY 8: Bahía by Night Spend the daylight hours however you wish, but save energy for the exciting night ahead.
