69 ASIA Day 7. Jeju-do, Freedom of Choice. South Korea's Jeju-do was designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2002. Here, you may like to visit Sangumburi Crater, an extinct volcanic crater that's home to a variety of plant life. Afterwards, continue on to the World-Heritage- listed Manjanggul Cave, one of the world's finest lava tunnels. Alternatively, walk one of the 'olle' routes, referring to the lanes that run through villages, as you gain an insight into daily life. See the Haenyeo (women divers) who, since the 17th century, have collected shellfish and seaweed from the waters without using any diving equipment, plus visit the museum dedicated to their unique methods. BLD Day 8. Ulsan, Gyeongju. From the South Korean city of Ulsan, embark on a full-day trip to the World Heritage-listed city of Gyeongju, the ancient capital of the Shilla Dynasty. Learn about the city's cultural heritage as you explore the national museum and go for a stroll amid hundreds of excavated monuments, temples, tombs and pagodas. At lunch, sample some Korean delicacies and take in a traditional dance performance. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure before dinner this evening. BLD Day 9. Hagi. In Hagi, Japan's revolution began in Jokamachi's old samurai residential quarter. Here, you will tour a samurai's home before visiting Daisho Temple, the resting place of the two first Mori Daimyo. You will also explore Hagi Castle, Shizuki Park and Tokoji Temple. BLD Day 10. Matsue, Freedom of Choice. Known as the 'town of water,' Matsue nestles between a scenic lake and a serene lagoon.
