47 Day 19. Disembark Ship, Ushuaia, Fly to Buenos Aires. Bid farewell to Le Boréal as you disembark in Ushuaia and travel to the airport for your included flight to Buenos Aires. On arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Stay: Buenos Aires, Alvear Palace Hotel. B Day 20. Buenos Aires, Lima (Peru). Today, fly to Lima, the starting point of your Peruvian discovery. Settle into your room, taking in the magnificent ocean views. Two Night Stay: JW Marriott Hotel Lima, Ocean View Rooms. B Day 21. Lima. Enjoy time to explore the city at your own pace. Later, spend a fun afternoon at a private hacienda. Arrive to live music and dance before enjoying lunch and a Peruvian Paso horse show. BL Day 22. Lima, Cusco, Chincheros, Sacred Valley. Fly to Cusco, then travel by coach to Chincheros. During a traditional weaving demonstration, learn how the famously colourful materials of South America are created. Two Night Stay: Sacred Valley, Tambo del Inka, Luxury Collection by Starwood. BD Keep an eye out for the White Continent's many penguin species Get up close to Antarctica's remarkable glaciers Day 9. Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Embark Antarctica Cruise. This morning transfer to the airport and board your included flight to Ushuaia, the capital of Tierra del Fuego. On arrival you'll be transferred to your luxury expedition ship, Le Boréal. Enjoy some time to settle into your cabin and explore the ship before heading to the restaurant for the Captain's Welcome Dinner where you'll get a glimpse into the action-filled days to come. Afterwards, head to the deck to admire the mountainous scenery of South America's most southerly tip on an early evening cruise down the Beagle Channel in the Tierra del Fuego Archipelago. Your wildlife spotting begins here as you pass colonies of Magellanic penguin, Rock Cormorants and sea lions. 10 Night Cruise: Le Boréal. BD Days 10-11. Drake Passage. Over the course of the next two days, you'll achieve one of the great travel milestones as you cross the Drake Passage, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans between Cape Horn and the South Shetland Islands. During this time, you'll learn all about the adventures ahead as you participate in a range of informative, interactive and entertaining presentations on the wildlife, history and geology of Antarctica. BLD Days 12-16. Antarctic Peninsula. On arrival in Antarctica, your itinerary becomes flexible. For the next five days, you'll enjoy morning and afternoon Zodiac rides. Experience some of the most unique wildlife viewing in the world as you're taken to visit penguin rookeries and seal colonies. These chilly waters are often frequented by orca, humpback and minke whales, so be sure to keep an eye out. Although landing sites will vary depending on conditions, the route will feature the most scenic bays and channels, including the stunning Lemeire Channel and Neko Bay. Head to the shores of Deception Island, once an old whaling station, and perhaps stop at Port Lockroy, a scientific base currently studying gentoo penguins. BLD Days 17-18. Drake Passage. The adventure continues as you return across the Drake Passage back towards Ushuaia. Along the way, be sure to keep a keen eye out for the wildlife that may be encountered en route, with many whales, dolphins, giant petrels, albatross and penguins frequenting these waters.
