20 Board your Zodiac and head to shore to visit sea lion colonies 15 Day Classic Antarctica with Buenos Aires 10 Night Le Boréal Luxury Cruise to Antarctica Day 1. Arrive Buenos Aires (Argentina). On arrival in the Argentinian capital today, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy some time at leisure. Three Night Stay: Buenos Aires, Alvear Palace Hotel. Day 2. Buenos Aires. Enjoy a tour of Buenos Aires before visiting the city's oldest barrio (district). Explore La Boca's colourful houses and picturesque pedestrian street, the Caminito; drive along one of the widest avenues in the world, Avenida 9 de Julio; pass the parks, gardens and tree-lined streets of Palermo; and visit La Recoleta Cemetery. Later, head to Esquina Carlos Gardel to enjoy dinner and an exciting tango show. BD Day 3. Buenos Aires, Freedom of Choice. This morning, embark on your chosen activity. Perhaps head to the island town of Tigre where you can enjoy a cruise over the waterways of the Paraná Delta. Alternatively, explore the ways in which Buenos Aires has been influenced by Paris during a walking tour, or perhaps head to Teatro Colón to absorb the remarkable ambience and grandeur of one of the finest opera houses in the world. The rest of the day is yours to relax and explore this magnificent city at your own pace. B Day 4. Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Embark Antarctica Cruise. Transfer to the airport and board your included flight to Ushuaia. On arrival you'll be transferred to your luxury expedition ship, Le Boréal, and greeted by your Expedition Leader and a team of expert naturalist guides. Take some time to settle in before enjoying the Captain's Welcome Dinner. Afterwards, head to the deck to take in the stunning scenery of the Beagle Channel. 10 Night Cruise: Le Boréal. BD Days 5-6. Drake Passage. Over the course of the next two days, you'll cross the Drake Passage, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans between Cape Horn and the South Shetland Islands. To cross the Drake Passage, making your way ever closer to the White Continent, is to achieve one of the great travel milestones – and you're sure to get caught up in the excitement. During this time, you'll learn all about the adventures ahead as you participate in a range of informative, interactive and entertaining presentations on the wildlife, history and geology of Antarctica. BLD Days 7-11. Antarctic Peninsula. On arrival in Antarctica, your itinerary becomes flexible in order to maximise your discovery of this enchanting world of ice and water. Utilising the knowledge of your Expedition Team, your Captain will charter a course based on the most exciting sightseeing opportunities available and the most favourable ice and weather conditions.
