sheila I feature HOWLETT – Stylist and Visual Merchandiser Emily I have a Chloé Satchel handbag. I chose it because of its perfect size – it fits everything I need without the extra junk – and because of how gorgeous it is! I got it from David Jones about three months ago. W hat sort of handbag do you have and why did you choose it? I DON'T GO anywhere without MY BAG How important is your handbag in conducting your day-to-day business? I don't go anywhere without my bag. It carries everything I need to help me get through my day. What are the most important items stashed in your bag and why? Phone, diary: Yes, I am a member of that dying breed which still uses a paper diary! So important to ensure I can keep on top of what's going on. Sunglasses: Working on location without these is a death wish. Double-sided tape: Fixes everything, literally. Nars bronzing powder in Laguna: Perfect for on-the-go touch ups. Mini Nikon for snapping happy snaps. Dry shampoo: Genius. Adds an extra boost to sad hair days! Flowerbomb by Victor & Rolf: Long-lasting scent that leaves a very chic, sweet trail. What one item do you wish you had in your bag and why? An iPad will definitely be my next purchase! It would make presenting my portfolio and collecting images and tearsheets much easier! What sort of things do you consider when choosing your handbag? I tend to go not for obvious, standout pieces, but for plainer staple pieces which I know I can work back with everything in my wardrobe. I also consider the shape and size – being able to fit in everything I need is really important. S SHEILA MARCH 2012 33
