24 Day 1. Arrive Darwin. Be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, a tour of Darwin includes a visit to the city's botanic gardens. Tonight, get to know your fellow travellers and Travelmarvel Tour Director during a special Welcome Dinner. Stay: Novotel Atrium Darwin. FD Day 2. Darwin, Katherine. Early this morning, 16 Day (TWS16) guests join the tour. Travel to the Adelaide River and the Australian war cemetery. After time to explore, head to Katherine Gorge and embark on a guided cruise through the gorge. Afterwards, continue on to the famous Outback town of Katherine. Stay: Ibis Styles Katherine. BD Day 3. Katherine, Ord River, Lake Argyle, Kununurra. Departing Katherine and the Northern Territory, you'll cross the border into Western Australia. Head to Kununurra, gateway to the Kimberley region. From here, join a wildlife cruise along the Ord River and keep an eye out for birdlife. See Lake Argyle, an enormous man-made lake. Stay: Kununurra Country Club. B Day 4. Kununurra, El Questro Wilderness Park. Tour Kununurra then travel the Gibb River Road into El Questro Wilderness Park. A Taste of Western Australia – tonight, savour a delicious home-style dinner. Then, enjoy a guided cruise along stunning Chamberlain Gorge. Later, perhaps walk into Emma Gorge and swim beneath the droplet waterfall. B, FD Day 6. El Questro Wilderness Park, Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine, Halls Creek. Travel through the heart of the Kimberley today to Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine for a guided tour of the mine. Then continue to Halls Creek. Stay: Halls Creek, Kimberley Hotel. BLD Day 7. Halls Creek, Geikie Gorge, Fitzroy Crossing. After breakfast, journey along the Great Northern Highway to Geikie Gorge, where flooding has created a fascinating bleached effect on the limestone walls. Enjoy a cruise through this stunning gorge and afterwards, continue to the remote town of Fitzroy Crossing. Stay: Fitzroy Crossing, Fitzroy River Lodge. BD Day 8. Fitzroy Crossing, Broome. Today, skirt along the southern edge of the Kimberley region on the way to the beautiful beaches of Broome. Enjoy a guided tour of this historic pearling centre and discover its fascnating history. Stay (Two Nights): Oaks Broome. BD Day 9. Broome. Today is yours to spend at leisure in Broome. Perhaps go for a stroll through town or relax on the white sands of Cable Beach.
