26 Day 1. Arrive Siem Reap, Angkor. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, visit the incredible historic landmark of Angkor Archaeological Park and explore its ancient wonders. This amazing World Heritage-listed park contains the remains of different Khmer empire capitals. Visit iconic landmarks including the 13th-century temple Bayon. This evening, get to know your fellow travellers whilst enjoying a Welcome Dinner at your hotel. After dinner, witness a magnificent performance of traditional Apsara dance. This evening, cap off the day with a spectacular sunset over Angkor Wat, also located within the Angkor Archaeological Park. B Day 3. Siem Reap, Embark Cruise at Prek K'dam. Transfer to Prek K'dam to embark your cruise along the mighty Mekong River. Floating villages line the tributaries of this stunning region and quaint riverside towns and sleepy rural villages lend the Mekong a unique charm. Board your river ship, the RV La Marguerite, and get set to explore. The ship's array of facilities ensures every moment of cruising presents the opportunity for relaxation and entertainment. This evening, after settling in to your suite, enjoy a delicious Welcome Dinner on board, savouring Asian or Western fare. Stay (Seven Nights): Cruise the Mekong River on board the RV La Marguerite. BLD Day 4. Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Tralach, Oudong. Enjoy a small boat excursion of the wetlands near Kampong Chhnang and travel past a number of fishing villages. You'll then rejoin your ship and continue on to Kampong Tralach. Like a Local – take an ox-cart ride, a popular method of transport in rural Cambodia. Like a Local – Travel to the former royal capital of Oudong for a traditional Buddhist blessing. BLD Day 5. Koh Chen, Phnom Penh. Explore Koh Chen today, a small village specialising in silver and copperware. Visit some home-workshops that manufacture handmade copper souvenirs. Then head to Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital. Enjoy a delicious dinner on your ship tonight followed by a marvellous Khmer folk performance. BLD Day 6. Phnom Penh. This morning you will join an excursion to the infamous Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, on the site of the Khmer Rouge's notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21).
