42 Day 1. Arrive Yangon. At Yangon airport, transfer to your stylish ship. Enjoy lunch on board, before a tour. Like a Local – Visit the Reclining Buddha and marvel at the Shwedagon Pagoda. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner on board. Stay (14 Nights): RV Princess Panhwar. LD Day 2. Maubin. Arrive in Maubin after lunch. Disembark for a walking tour, and enjoy the chance to visit the local market before returning to your ship. BLD Day 3. Danuphyu, Zalon. Disembark in Danuphyu to visit the Monastery of Maha Bandula and a home cheroot-making workshop. Later, cruise to Zalon for a tour, taking in the town's many colonial-style houses. BLD Day 4. Myanaung. Cruise to the sleepy riverside township of Myanaung. Here, a guided walking tour will take you past a range of well-preserved colonial houses and on to the bustling local market. BLD Day 5. Pyay (Prome), Sri Ksetra. Absorb views of the Akauk Mountains as you continue cruising towards Pyay. On arrival in Pyay this afternoon, disembark for a walking tour of the town. See gilded pagodas, including the Shwesandaw Pagoda. BLD Day 6. Thayetmyo. Cruise to Thayetmyo, a port town that once sat on the British colonial border between Upper Myanmar and Lower Myanmar. Here, take in the colonial houses and visit Myanmar's oldest golf course, established by the British in 1877. BLD Day 7. Minhla, Magwe. Stop at Minhla, the site of a battle during the Third Anglo-Burmese War. Take a small boat to visit Gwechaung and Minhla forts, built in 1860 to keep British forces out. Visit Magwe and return to your ship for a puppet show. BLD Day 8. Salay. Cruise to the religious village of Salay and visit Yoke Sone Kyaung, the region's oldest surviving wooden monastery. Salay's also home to the largest lacquer Buddha image in Myanmar. BLD Day 9. Tantkyi Hill, Bagan. Climb Tantkyi Hill to visit Tantkyitaung Pagoda. Back on board, glimpse Bagan, an awe-inspiring archaeological site. Visit its masterpiece, the Ananda Temple. Later, head for Nyaung-U, home to the golden Shwezigon Pagoda. BLD Day 10. Bagan. Today begins with an exciting visit to the bustling Nyaung-U market. Then, enjoy a city tour of Bagan. Later, you will be able to take in a stunning sunset viewing over Bagan at Pyathat Gyi or Dhamayazaka. BLD Day 11. Bagan, Yandabo. Depart Bagan for Yandabo, the location of the Treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese War signed during the mid-1920s. BLD Day 12. Inwa. Arrive today in Inwa, an ancient imperial capital. Like a Local – enjoy a tour by horse-drawn cart, taking in Maha Aung Mye Bon Zan Monastery and the Bagaya Monastery.
