Day 1. Arrive Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon),
Embark Ship.
Your journey begins today amid the hustle and
bustle of Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival in the
Vietnamese city, be met at the airport, and
transferred to My Tho port where you will board
your boutique river ship. Enjoy lunch as your ship
sets off. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner with
your fellow passengers.
Stay (Seven Nights):
RV La Marguerite. LD
Day 2. Cai Be, Sa Dec.
Visit Cai Be and go ashore to see the town's
cathedral and port area. Drop in on a rice paper
manufacturer to learn how rice paper is made.
You'll then take a boat ride to Sa Dec for a
guided tour. Later, return to your ship for a
delicious dinner. BLD
Day 3. Tan Chau, Border Crossing.
Go ashore for a rickshaw tour of Tan Chau and
take a small-boat ride to discover rural life on an
island. The rest of today is then spent on board.
This afternoon, perhaps attend a fruit-carving
demonstration while border formalities are carried
out. Cross into Cambodia and cruise overnight
towards the capital, Phnom Penh. BLD
Day 4. Phnom Penh.
Today begins your exploration of the city of
Phnom Penh, and its sights. After breakfast,
take an excursion to the infamous Killing Fields,
before visiting the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum,
located on the site of the Khmer Rouge's
notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21). Learn of the
atrocities inflicted upon Cambodians during Pol
Pot's Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s. After
lunch on board, disembark and enjoy a tour.
