There you can see typical Chinese markets, the 10,000 Buddha Monastery and Shatin, which has Hong Kong's second racecourse. Kam Tin Walled Village, built in the 1600s, is a traditional village still inhabited by descendants of the original Tang clan. It is also possible to do a day tour across the border into China or to Macau. Several of Hong Kong's outlying islands worth a visit include Peng Chau and Cheung Chau which are renowned for their fishing villages, and Lamma which is popular for both its seafood restaurants and beaches. Lantau Island, with its monastery and the world's biggest outdoor bronze Buddha, is easily accessible by Tsing Ma Bridge. This is the world's longest road and rail suspension bridge that was built in conjunction with the new Hong Kong International Airport. It also features the Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride that takes passengers from Tsing Ye station to Ngong Ping village, the Po Lin Monastery and Tian Tan Buddha.
