Travel through to the North West Cape and see the magnificent sunset over the Indian Ocean from Exmouth, the gateway to Ningaloo Reef. Two Night Stay: Exmouth, Novotel Ningaloo Resort. BLD Day 6. Ningaloo Marine Park. Begin your day with a ride aboard a glass-bottom boat. Lay back and relax on board or snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of Ningaloo Marine Park. Dive into a world where colourful coral, vibrant tropical fish and breathtaking giants live. The reef covers over 5,000 square kilometres of ocean. Stop for a picnic lunch in the idyllic setting of Turquoise Bay, regularly voted as one of the best beaches in the world. Here, you will have the opportunity to snorkel its warm, pristine waters. Afterwards, pass the Vlamingh Head Lighthouse on your way back to the resort for dinner. BLD Day 7. Carnarvon. Continue to Carnarvon on the Gascoyne River, known for its tropical fruits, fine seafood and housing more than half of Western Australia's banana crops. Stay: Carnarvon, Best Western Hospitality Inn. BLD Day 8. Hamelin Pool, Shell Beach, Monkey Mia. Head for Hamelin Pool to see the stromatolites, which are considered the world's oldest living organisms. These living fossils contain microbes similar to those found in 3.5 billion-year-old rocks, a time when no other creatures were present on the planet. Continue to Shell Beach, whose name derives from the millions of tiny white coquina bivalve sea shells that stretch for 60 kilometres. Later, arrive at your resort, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner. Two Night Stay: Shark Bay, Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort. BLD Day 9. Monkey Mia. This morning see the famous wild dolphins that swim close to shore at Monkey Mia. Watch as local rangers undertake a dolphin feeding demonstration for guests (subject to appearance). Afterwards, explore the beautifully pristine Francois Peron National Park. Once a pastoral remote sheep station, the national park is renowned for its contrasting red cliffs, white sandy beaches and sparkling azure waters. Arrive at Wooleen Station, where you will learn about the incredible story about the property as you enjoy a tour of this former sheep and cattle station, made famous the ABC's television program Australian Story.
