62 Pilbara & Ningaloo Reef 9 Day Small Group 4WD Adventure Explore the rugged natural beauty of Karijini National Park From the dazzling coral coast of Western Australia to the red plains of the Pilbara, view the captivating contrasts of this stunning land in all their glory. Begin with Broome's beaches before plunging into the world of working cattle stations and vast mines. Discover the oases of Karijini and Millstream- Chichester National Parks then cruise Ningaloo Reef. Day 1. Broome. On arrival into Broome, be transferred to the iconic Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa for a day at leisure. This evening, get to know your fellow travellers as you enjoy a delicious Welcome Dinner at the resort's wonderful Sunset Bar and Grill. Stay: Broome, Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa. D Day 2. Broome, Eighty Mile Beach. After a delicious breakfast this morning, travel south, stopping at the famous Eighty Mile Beach, a spectacular coastline that marks the end of the Great Sandy Desert. Keep an eye out for the migratory birds that call the wetland area home. Later, arrive at Port Hedland. Stay: Port Hedland, The Esplanade Hotel. BLD Day 3. Marble Bar, Newman. Travel to Marble Bar, infamously known as the hottest town in Australia. The name Marble Bar was derived from a nearby jasper bar mistaken for Marble, which runs across the bed of the Coongan River. Later, continue to Newman. Stay: Seasons Newman Hotel. BLD Day 4. Mt Whaleback Mine Tour, Karijini National Park. Explore the Pilbara mining region as you take a tour of BHP Billiton's Mt Whaleback Mine, the world's largest open cut iron ore mine. Continue to your eco retreat in Karijini National Park. Two Night Stay: Karijini Eco Retreat. BLD Day 5. Karijini National Park. Enjoy a full day to discover Karijini National Park. See the rugged red beauty of Dales Gorge. Perhaps walk to stunning Joffre Falls, located near the eco retreat, or admire the rich red colours from Oxer and Junction Pool lookouts. Later, visit Fortescue Falls, before dinner at your eco retreat. BLD Day 6. Hamersley Gorge, Millstream- Chichester National Park, Karratha. Discover Hamersley Gorge, an idyllic haven within the arid landscapes of the surrounding Pilbara. Visit the oasis of Millstream-Chichester National Park then head for Karratha, known as 'Sacred Earth' in the local Aboriginal language. Stay: Karratha International.
