Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge raises the bar

Pavilion at the Mitchell Plateau's
first-established accommodation, Mitchell
Falls Wilderness Lodge. Architecturally
designed, it fuses modern Australian and
Indigenous influences and designed with
an organic integrity that blends seamlessly
with the surrounding environment. Brand
new features include a lounge, bar, library
and dining areas. A commercial kitchen
has been installed to provide an even
higher standard of gourmet cuisine.
You are invited to experience locally sourced
Australian ingredients, incorporated into a
contemporary menu. Equally amazing are
the surrounds, nestled within an endemic
pocket of rainforest under a shaded canopy
of eucalyptus and ancient Livistona palms.
If you wish to take a dip in the Lodge's
natural waterhole, our brand new swimming
platform and deck will provide easy access
into this palm-fringed oasis.
Committed to responsible tourism, the
Ungolan Pavilion is built with the support
of the local Kandiwal community and
features an Indigenous art gallery,
with 100% of the proceeds of artwork
sales going back into the community.
We are also maintaining our prestigious
advanced Ecotourism accreditation, with
the installation of an advanced hybrid
solar power system and sourcing local
building materials.

The Wunambal people welcome visitors
to Ngauwudu (Mitchell Plateau). Situated
close to Mitchell Falls, this lodge is the ideal
base for exploring some of the Kimberley's
most unforgettable attractions, such as
Little Mertens Falls and Big Mertens Falls.
