Wunan was established in
1997 to drive long-term
socioeconomic change for
Indigenous people, and APT is proud of
its partnership with this vital organisation.
Our touring program and financial
investments assist Wunan, while our
network of wilderness lodges create
employment opportunities for locals.

landowners has led to the development
of several permanent wilderness
lodges. We have employees from local
communities at our Mitchell Falls
and Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodges.
We're also proud of our unique partnership
with the Djabulukgu Association, providing
access to highly restricted areas of Kakadu.

At APT, we are devoted to helping local
Indigenous people reach their potential
and pursue their goals. We helped a
remote community by contributing towards
the cost of employing two teachers to
educate children of the Mitchell Plateau's
Kandiwal community.
We also supply the talented artists of
the Imintji community with art materials.
Our lodges provide the perfect exhibition
space and give our guests the opportunity
to purchase this unique artwork. By
strongly encouraging the production and
sales of artwork, we are supporting a
sustainable future for local communities
through preservation of this ancient
Indigenous culture.
