XXX 59 59 21 DAY NAMIBIA & SOUTH AFRICA ADVENTURE Encounter desert-adapted elephants during your game drives in Etosha National Park 21 Day Namibia & South Africa Adventure Namibia Private Air Safari | Garden Route | Kruger National Park | Victoria Falls NAMIBIA PRIVATE AIR SAFARI BEGINS Day 1. Arrive Windhoek. Arrive in Windhoek, the Namibian capital. Transfer to your hotel and later this evening meet your APT Tour Director and enjoy a Welcome Dinner. Stay: Windhoek, Hotel Heinitzburg. D PRIVATE DESERT NATURE RESERVE Day 2. Windhoek, Sossusvlei, NamibRand Nature Reserve. Board your private plane and fly to Sossusvlei, where you can take in the various shapes of some of the world's tallest free-standing dunes. Set off on an excursion to learn about the harsh environment of the Namib Desert and the unique creatures and plants that have adapted to survive here. Conclude your tour with lunch under a camel thorn tree, before boarding a short flight to NamibRand Nature Reserve. Admire the stunning scenery as you travel by 4WD to Wolwedans Dunes Lodge, perched on the very top of a dune plateau. At the end of the day, head out on a nature drive, stopping for sundowners at a picture-perfect view point overlooking the spectacular Chateau Plains. With the vivid changing colours at sunset, the sight is a photographer's paradise. Two Night Stay: NamibRand Nature Reserve, Wolwedans Dunes Lodge or Camp. BLD Day 3. NamibRand Nature Reserve. Venture out on morning and afternoon 4WD excursions that showcase the remote landscapes of the Namib Desert. See dunes of unimaginable sizes and the animals that reside beneath them. Returning at dusk, dinner is to be prepared by the lodge's desert chef. BLD DISCOVER THE GREAT SAND SEA Day 4. NamibRand Nature Reserve, Etosha National Park. Farewell your dune camp as you re-board your private plane. Your flight route begins with a bird's-eye view over the great Sand Sea of the Namib Desert, which stretches along Namibia's entire Atlantic coast. On reaching the coast (fog levels permitting), you may also see abandoned mining camps and shipwrecks. Land at Walvis Bay and board a cruise to see dolphins and seals, ending with a picnic lunch along the beach. Continue inland by plane to Onguma Private Game Reserve, located on the eastern border of Etosha National Park. Transfer to your lodge, The Fort, which overlooks the scarceness of the Etosha pan. Take a few quiet moments on your private open-air deck before dinner. Three Night Stay: Onguma Private Game Reserve, The Fort. BLD ANIMALS OF ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK Day 5. Etosha National Park. Etosha National Park is quite unlike any other African wilderness area, bursting with life that gathers around the largest salt pan on the continent. The salt pans that cover a quarter of the park draw a variety of desert-adapted wildlife, as you will see during morning and afternoon game drives today. Your trackers will lead you to deep waterholes where a range of wildlife flock for respite. Springbok, kudu, leopards, elephants, rhinos and giraffes can all be found here. BLD Day 6. Etosha National Park. Today allows you yet another opportunity to explore Onguma Private Game Reserve via your morning and afternoon game drives.
