Arrive Cape Town. On arrival in the South African city of Cape Town, be met at the airport and transferred to your five-star hotel. This evening, meet your APT Tour Director and fellow travellers at a Welcome Reception. Three Night Stay: Cape Town, Table Bay Hotel at the V&A Waterfront. Day 2. Cape Town, Freedom of Choice. Ride on the aerial cableway to the top of Table Mountain, enjoying time to admire the beautiful city and ocean stretching out beneath you. Your next stop is the District Six Museum followed by a visit to the Castle of Good Hope, the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa. Later, embark on a Constantia Winelands tour. Alternatively, take a ferry to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. Or set off on a township tour. This evening, join an African drumming session before enjoying a meal of Cape Malay cuisine. BD Day 3. Cape Town, Cape Peninsula. Today's picturesque journey takes you along Chapman's Peak Drive to Cape Point, where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet. Continue on to historic Simon's Town and then see penguins up close at Boulders Beach before returning to Cape Town for the evening. BL WILDLIFE IN KRUGER NATIONAL PARK Day 4. Cape Town, Kruger National Park. Your adventure continues as you fly from Cape Town to Kruger National Park. South Africa's largest and most diverse game park, this is the perfect place for your first game drive. Arrive at your luxury lodge where you can settle in and enjoy the scenery during sundowner drinks. Two Night Stay: Kruger National Park, Jock Safari Lodge. BD Day 5. Kruger National Park. Explore the diverse landscapes of Kruger National Park on morning and afternoon game drives. Experience incredible encounters with Africa's iconic Big Five and watch for unique bird species. Your day ends with an intimate boma dinner under the stars. Set by a crackling fire, you'll dine by candlelight on traditional cuisine in an outdoor setting. BLD Day 6. Kruger National Park, Johannesburg. Bid farewell to Kruger National Park as you fly to Johannesburg where you will stay overnight before your flight to Botswana the following day. Stay: Johannesburg, D'Oreale Grande Hotel. B ZAMBEZI QUEEN RIVER SAFARI Day 7. Johannesburg, Kasane, Embark River Safari. Fly to Kasane in Botswana, then travel by coach and boat into Namibia where you will be transferred to your river ship. Scenes of beauty reveal themselves as you cruise the Chobe River at sunset. Hippos emerge from the waters as the air cools, while elephants and cape buffalo congregate at the riverbanks for a drink at dusk. You may even spot Nile crocodiles lurking in the shallow waters. Conclude the day with a Welcome Dinner on board. Two Night Stay: Chobe National Park, Zambezi Queen. BD Day 8. Chobe National Park, Chobe River, Freedom of Choice. A river safari aboard the Zambezi Queen is a relaxed affair, allowing you to enjoy leisurely mornings on board.
