64 Be astounded by the sandy amber waves of the Namib Desert Day 24. Tarangire National Park. The quiet plains of Tanzania's Tarangire National Park are home to wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and impala, but are most famous for the annual elephant migration. Watch for these gentle creatures along with a host of other animals on morning and afternoon game drives today. If you're lucky, you may see the unusual dwarf mongoose and gerenuk, though sightings are very rare. BLD Day 25. Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater. Meet the children of a small school in Tanzania before continuing to your lodge, set close to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you have the chance to take an optional game drive through Lake Manyara National Park. Watch the sun dip behind the crater walls before dinner this evening. Two Night Stay: Ngorongoro Crater, Acacia Farm Lodge. BLD Day 26. Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy a full-day game drive along the crater's floor. The crater's high walls serve as a natural enclosure for an abundance of native wildlife. You are likely to see an abundance of bird species, including crowned cranes, ostriches, plovers and bustards, while wildebeest, gazelles and zebras roam freely. Leopards can be found high up in the rainforests near the rim. BLD ANCIENT RHYTHMS OF THE SERENGETI Day 27. Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National Park. Visit one of the world's most important prehistoric sites, Olduvai Gorge, for a private tour and lecture. Watch for wildlife as you travel to Serengeti National Park. Two Night Stay: Serengeti National Park, Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. BLD Day 28. Serengeti National Park. Wake to the sounds of the African bush and head out on an early morning game drive to observe the animals at their most active. On your afternoon game drive, the chance to spot Africa's famous Big Five is high, thanks to the Serengeti's density of predators and prey. BLD Day 29. Serengeti National Park, Masai Mara. Board a light aircraft and fly to the border of Tanzania. After landing and crossing into Kenya, take a short flight to the renowned Masai Mara, home to the nomadic Maasai people who have lived here for centuries. Shortly after arriving, head off-road through the savannah on your first game drive. This is one of the best places in Africa to spot big game. Look out for the Big Five, as well as cheetahs and hyenas amongst endless plains of golden grasslands. Three Night Stay: Masai Mara, Karen Blixen Camp. BLD EXPERIENCE THE MASAI MARA Day 30. Masai Mara, Freedom of Choice. Watch for large game on your morning game drive. Keen birdwatchers may look out for the kori bustard and the grey crowned crane. After, take a nature walk or learn about Maasai beading. Lunch will be set for you at camp before you visit a local village where you will experience the culture and lifestyle of the Maasai people. Wonder awaits on an evening game drive as the animals become more active. Raise a glass and celebrate your experience with sundowner drinks. BLD Day 31. Masai Mara. Choose to further explore or enjoy a day of rest and relaxation within the surrounds of your camp. This evening, enjoy an unforgettable bush dinner under the African night sky. BLD Day 32. Masai Mara, Nairobi. Fly to Nairobi and transfer to your hotel. Come together during a Farewell Lunch, including a performance by the Kenya Boys Choir.
