You will need: 250 grams of butter ½ cup of cocoa 1 and ½ cups of sugar 4 eggs
1 cup of flour
1 tsp of baking powder 1 tsp of vanilla essence
1. Melt butter over hot stove. 2. Mix in cocoa.
3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
4. Add eggs, beat well using wooden spoon. 5. Sift flour and baking powder into mixture. 6. Add vanilla essence and mix to combine. 7. Pour into greased 20-30cm sponge roll tin. 8. Bake at 180°C for 25 to 30 minutes.
Ryan's M&Ms Gingerbread Men By RYAN CLARK, 6, Cloverlea Primary School, Palmerston North
You will need: 2 cups flour
1 Tbsp ginger ½ tsp baking soda 1 cup brown sugar 150g butter 1 beaten egg
1. Turn the oven on to 180°C.
2. Sift flour, ginger and baking soda into a bowl, then add brown sugar.
3. Add butter and whizz it with the mixer. 4. Then add your egg and mix.
5. Roll out your dough onto a baking tray and cut into gingerbread men shapes – or any other shapes you like.
6. Decorate with M&Ms and chocolate buttons.
7. Cook for 10mins. YUM!!! WIN!
