On arrival in the cosmopolitan city of San Francisco, be met and transferred to your hotel. Settle in to your accommodation before enjoying a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travellers. Three Night Stay: San Francisco, The Fairmont San Francisco. D Day 2. San Francisco. Head out to enjoy a tour of the iconic sights of this incredible city, renowned for its cuisine, architecture, attractions and hillside landscape. Absorb the beauty of the city's waterfront along with superb vistas of Alcatraz Island and San Francisco Bay. You'll visit famous attractions including the Golden Gate Bridge and make a stop at the Twin Peaks, two hills near the centre of the city. After your guided tour you will enjoy time at leisure, which is the perfect chance to explore Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. B Day 3. Napa Valley, Sausalito. One of the most famous wine-producing regions in America, it is difficult to find another that comes close to the Napa Valley. Board the Napa Valley Wine Train in the historic town of Napa, and relax in the 1952 glass- domed Vista Dome car. You will enjoy a freshly prepared lunch as you pass through the vineyards and past wineries en route to the quaint village of St Helena. After disembarking, journey back to San Francisco, visiting beautiful Sausalito on the way. Located across the Golden Gate Bridge, this picturesque community is home to many unique boutiques. Enjoy time at leisure to explore. BL Day 4. Alcatraz, Yosemite National Park. Embark on a cruise to the prison-island of Alcatraz. Often referred to as The Rock, the small island was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison and a federal prison from 1933 until 1963. On arrival here, you'll learn about the history of the prison and its infamous inmates during a fascinating tour. This afternoon, head to Yosemite National Park, located in Central California's Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Spend time at leisure here to explore as you wish before dinner. Two Night Stay: Yosemite National Park, Tenaya Lodge. BD Day 5. Yosemite National Park, Freedom of Choice Dining. Embark on a full day of sightseeing in the breathtaking Yosemite National Park and take in the picturesque natural sights of Yosemite Valley, famous for its impressive waterfalls, meadows, cliffs and unusual rock formations. Later, board an open-air tram tour accompanied by a local ranger, and see the granite monolith of Half Dome, the imposing vertical face of El Capitan, and the splendour of the thundering Yosemite Falls which is the highest waterfall in North America. Tonight, dine at one of the restaurants within your lodge. BD Day 6. Monterey, Carmel. Journey south to Monterey, a quaint seaside town, home to an incredibly beautiful coastline and pedestrian thoroughfares with a village-like atmosphere.
