closed for repair following the severe impacts of Tropical Cyclones Anthony and Yasi, Hayman was not simply patched up. Instead, with the assistance of respected landscape designer, horticulturalist and TV personality Jamie Durie, it has become the world's first and only Botanical Garden resort. are sensational. Some 33,000 new plants and 327 new plant species have been introduced, creating a landscape brimming with a stunning variety of colours and perfumes. Guests will be sharing this beautiful setting with the native birds, butterflies and wildlife that have returned to their island home. But it was not just the breathtaking
outdoor regeneration that was completed before the resort opened at the beginning of August. Repairs were made to guest and accommodation areas, activity facilities and essential infrastructure, while other planned projects were carried out to ensure Hayman would continue to set a world standard for service and hospitality.
