50 Day 1. Arrive Calgary. On arrival, be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. This evening, meet your fellow travellers and Travelmarvel Tour Director during a Welcome Reception. Stay: Calgary, Marriott Downtown Hotel. Day 2. Calgary, Banff. Departing Calgary, begin the scenic journey through the Rocky Mountains to Banff National Park. Upon arriving in Banff, the rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure. This provides a fantastic opportunity to explore the town. Enhance Your Journey: perhaps take an ice walk in Johnston Canyon admiring waterfalls and icefalls, enjoy a dog sled ride, or head on a Banff Experience to discover the local township, (see page 83). Stay (Three Nights): Banff Park Lodge. B CHRISTMAS DAY Day 3. Banff. Wake to a picture-perfect White Christmas in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy free time in the morning to mark the occasion as you wish, before gathering with your fellow travellers for a celebratory Christmas Lunch. Like a Local – take in the breathtaking views and sparkling winter air of the Canadian Rocky Mountains on a sleigh ride for a truly memorable Christmas Day. BL Day 4. Banff. Enjoy a picturesque gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains. The rest of the day is at your leisure to continue exploring the incredible scenery of this stunning national park. B Day 5. Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper. Depart Banff this morning and journey along the spectacular Icefields Parkway to Jasper. On the way, stop at the stunning Lake Louise, known as the 'Jewel of the Rockies'. Throughout today, revel in the winter wonderland that is the Canadian Rockies during this special time of year. Stay (Two Nights): Chateau Jasper. BD Day 6. Jasper. Take time out today to relax in the fairytale setting of Jasper. The village will still have an array of Christmas decorations on display, and there should be some post-Christmas bargains to take advantage of while you are here. Enhance Your Journey: perhaps don some snowshoes for an inspiring trek through stunning Canadian Rockies scenery. Or you may like to visit the deep Maligne Canyon to view its incredible icefalls. B Day 7. Jasper, Quaaout Lodge. This morning, descend the Rockies, passing through magnificent scenery and continue to Little Shuswap Lake.
