44 Day 1. Arrive Victoria. Upon arrival in Victoria, be met at the airport and then transferred to your hotel. Later today, meet your fellow travellers and Tour Director at a Welcome Reception. Stay (Two Nights): Victoria, The Parkside Hotel & Spa. Day 2. Victoria. This morning, enjoy a short orientation tour. Then visit The Butchart Gardens. This is one of the most famous gardens in the world with a distinctive style all of its own. Spend time wandering through the lovely Sunken Garden and relax in the beautiful setting of the Japanese Garden and Italian Garden. Explore the extraordinary collection of plants on show, as well as vivid floral displays. The rest of the day can then be spent at your leisure. Enhance Your Journey: you will have the opportunity to take a whale-watching cruise or a horse-drawn carriage tour (see page 83). B Day 3. Victoria, Whistler. Drive to the town of Chemainus before boarding a ferry across the Georgia Strait to Horseshoe Bay. Admire the Coastal Mountains as you travel along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway with a stop at Shannon Falls on your way to Whistler. Like a Local – enjoy an indigenous-inspired dinner at the Lil'wat Squamish Cultural Centre, and gain insight into the heritage of the local First Nations. After breakfast this morning, travel through the rugged Cariboo region to Blue River. Later today, follow the famous Yellowhead Highway and pass the incredible Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, on your way to the fairytale Jasper National Park. Take time out today to relax or explore the fairytale setting of Jasper.
