28 Day 1. Arrive Victoria. Be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Later, meet your fellow travellers and Tour Director at a Welcome Reception. Stay (Two Nights): Victoria, The Parkside Hotel & Spa. Day 2. Victoria. Today, take a short tour. Then visit The Butchart Gardens to explore the extraordinary collection of plants on show and exquisite floral displays. Afterwards, enjoy time at your leisure. Enhance Your Journey: you will have the opportunity to take a whale-watching cruise or a horse-drawn carriage tour (see page 83). B Day 3. Victoria, Whistler. Drive to Chemainus then cross the Georgia Strait by ferry to Horseshoe Bay. Stop at Shannon Falls on your way to Whistler. A Taste of Canada – enjoy an indigenous-inspired dinner at the Lil'wat Squamish Cultural Centre. Enhance Your Journey: take a floatplane flight across Georgia Strait to Whistler (see page 83). Like a Local – set off on an extraordinary River Safari to stunning Grizzly Bear Valley where you're likely to witness active native wildlife on the riverbank. Later today, follow the famous Yellowhead Highway and pass Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, on your way to Jasper National Park. A Taste of Canada – enjoy a western-style BBQ dinner at the Jasper Stables tonight. Stay: (Two Nights): Jasper, Mountain Park Lodges. BD Day 7. Jasper. Relax and explore Jasper National Park. Enhance Your Journey: today in Jasper, perhaps take a Harley Davidson Sidecar Tour; enjoy a rafting adventure on the Athabasca River or an evening wildlife experience (see page 83). B Day 8. Jasper, Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise. Visit Maligne Canyon for a walk along its deep rocky caverns. Then, travel along the Icefields Parkway and stop at the Columbia Icefield for an Ice Explorer ride onto Athabasca Glacier. Afterwards, head to the picture-perfect Lake Louise, the 'Jewel of the Rockies'. Special Stay – settle into The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and relax in spectacular surrounds.
