92 Day 1. Arrive Prague. Today, be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in or start exploring. Enjoy a special Welcome Reception this evening with your Tour Director. Stay (Two Nights): Prague, Grandior Hotel. Day 2. Prague. Begin today with a locally guided tour of Prague's historic Old Town, admiring the city's astonishing architecture while delving into its fascinating history. You will explore the magnificent St Vitus Cathedral, then walk across the graceful arches of Charles Bridge to Prague's Old Market Square for some time to explore. A Taste of Prague – visit Nelahozeves Castle, a regal Renaissance residence set high above the Vltava River. Be treated to a guided tour, local wine tasting and delicious lunch. BL Day 3. Prague, Spreewald, Berlin. Travel across the border into Germany, then to Spreewald. Here, enjoy a picturesque boat trip along the river Spree as it meanders in thousands of small waterways through meadows and forests. This unique landscape became a protected biosphere reserve in 1991, and is dotted with traditional farmhouses along its waterways. Afterwards, continue by coach to Berlin. Stay (Three Nights): InterContinental Berlin. BD Day 4. Berlin. See Berlin's sights on a guided city tour today, including historic landmarks such as the historic Reichstag building and the iconic Brandenburg Gate. Pass by the Berlin State Opera House, before seeing a section of the ruined Berlin Wall. Afterwards, enjoy the evening at leisure. B Day 5. Berlin. Awake to a delicious breakfast, then have the entire day at leisure to further explore the sights and sounds of Berlin. Farewell Berlin as you travel across East Germany into Poland, where later, you'll arrive in the country's charming capital of Warsaw. On arrival, check into your hotel before dinner at a local restaurant. Stay (Two Nights): Regent Hotel Warsaw. BD Day 7. Warsaw. On a guided tour of the city, see the site of the Jewish Ghetto and the Palace of Culture and Science. Afterwards, head for the peace and quiet of Łazienki Park, the city's largest park. Here you'll find the elegant Łazienki Palace with its surrounding tranquil waters and ornate Baroque-stye architecture, as well as a statue dedicated to the famous Warsaw-born composer Frédéric Chopin. Enhance Your Journey: Be astounded by an entertaining Chopin Concert (see page 118). B Day 8. Warsaw, Czestochowa, Kraków. Today, travel to Kraków with a stop off at the Jasna Góra Monastery in Czestochowa. Later, visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum to learn of the plight of the Jews sent to these Nazi concentration camps, before arriving in Kraków. The evening is at your leisure.
