BLD Day 10. Tournon, Boucieu Le-Roi. From Tournon, traverse the beautiful countryside of the Rhône-Alpes region on your way to Boucieu Le-Roi, a quaint village in the Ardèche region founded in 1291 by the French king, Philip the Fair. Like a Local – in the charming picturesque village of Boucieu Le-Roi, embark on a guided tour. Here, take the opportunity to browse the local handicraft at the village market, where you will be able to sample some local delights at morning tea. Soak up the quaint atmosphere as you are entertained by a folk music performance, or perhaps you would like to partake in a game of Pétanque, a popular form of French bowls. Enjoy a delicious dinner on board your ship. BLD Day 11. Viviers, Grignan. Continue cruising through Provence to Viviers, a quaint, largely abandoned medieval town. Then, traverse the picturesque Rhône-Alpes region. A Taste of France – enjoy a visit to a truffle farm and head out with the dogs in search of truffles before a tasting. Later, journey to the hillside village of Grignan, surrounded by Provençal lavender fields and enveloped by high fortifications. Perhaps step out after dinner to enjoy a leisurely stroll as you explore Grignan's labyrinth of idyllic, winding streets and charming squares. BLD Day 12. Avignon. This morning, explore the rich history of Avignon on a guided tour offering a host of grand monuments and architectural treasures. Meander along cobblestones and visit the world's largest Gothic palace, the 14th-century Palace of the Popes, and see one of the world's most iconic bridges, the Pont d'Avignon. This afternoon, take the opportunity to further explore this idyllic place at your leisure. BLD Day 13. Avignon, Arles, Les Baux de Provence. Following breakfast his morning, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Arles. Admire an impressive array of ancient monuments, including the Constantine Baths and the Roman Amphitheatre. Later, travel through the captivating landscapes that inspired many of the famous Impressionist artists to a beautiful hilltop village in the stunning Les Baux de Provence. A Taste of France – visit an olive mill and farm in Saint- Rémy de Provence for a tour and tasting. Tonight, enjoy a Captain's Farewell Dinner. BLD Day 14. Camargue National Reserve. Explore the luscious green landscapes of the Camargue National Reserve. Nestled between the Mediterranean and two arms of the Rhône delta, the area is home to over 400 species of birds and one of the few European habitats for the greater flamingo. The reserve covers more than 13,000 hectares in the Camargue region, making it one of Europe's largest wetlands. BLD Day 15. Arles, Depart Nice.
